At NEOM we want you to understand what information we collect, and how we use and share it. That's why we encourage you to read our Privacy Notices. This helps you use NEOM products and services in the way that's right for you.

In the Privacy Notice, we explain how we collect, use, share, retain, and transfer information. We also let you know your rights. Each section of this Notice includes helpful examples and simple language to make our practices easier to understand. We’ve broken our Notice into sections for ease, and we’ll continue to make improvements like adding links to resources.

We are committed to protecting personal information and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, share, and protect it when you use our services. This Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data of employees, residents, and visitors to facilitate public services.

This Notice, governed by the Personal Data Protection Law of Saudi Arabia (PDPL), explains how we responsibly and lawfully collect and use your information, and how we protect your privacy.

What Personal Data Do We Collect

Personal data is any data, regardless of its source or form, that identifies a person in Public Services Portal, such as our employees, residents, and visitors - i.e. you - or may make the identification of that person possible.

Public Services Portal may process the following personal information, depending on the service you use:

  1. Identification Data: Full name, national ID, Iqama/residence permit, passport details, visa details.
  2. Contact Information: Address, phone number, email.
  3. Employment Information: Employer name, position, employment status.
  4. Residency Data: Residence status, dependents.
  5. Visit Data: Purpose of visit, entry/exit records.
  6. Legal or Certification Data: Criminal record information, certificates issued or verified.
  7. Technical Data: IP address, portal usage logs, device information.

Source of Personal Data

Your personal data is collected by NEOM:

Directly from you when you through completion of Electronic Form on the system

  1. Internal users, such as NEOM employees and subsidiaries.
  2. External users, including residents, visitors, and other entities.

Indirectly from the following sources:

  1. Government Portals
  2. Data from other systems

The Purposes for Processing your Personal Data and Legal Basis

We only use personal data for the purpose it was collected for.

We process your personal data for the following reasons, and have established a legal basis in law for doing so:

In the event that any activity has relied on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. There may be another legal bases which requires us to process your personal data.

Providing Personal Data to NEOM

In the event that you decline to provide necessary personal information, we may be unable to provide a service or offering as described earlier.
You are entitled to withdraw your consent for processing your personal data at any time unless there are legal bases that require otherwise.

Storage and Destruction

Personal data is only stored for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Personal data is retained for defined retention periods in line with regulatory, legal, and professional body standards and guides. This length of time may vary depending on individual circumstances. We regularly review our data retention period to ensure we are not keeping personal data for longer than necessary.

Who We Share Your Personal Data With

We will not disclose your Personal Data to any third party for direct marketing purposes, however, to fulfill the above purposes, we may share your data with Relevant Saudi government ministries and agencies to complete your applications.

Your Data Privacy Rights

You can exercise your privacy rights, under certain circumstances, pursuant to the Kingdom’s Privacy Laws and Regulations. These rights are not absolute and are subject to qualifications.

  • Right to be Informed: You have the right to be provided with information about how we use your Personal data, and about your rights.
  • Right of Access: You have the right to access your Personal data.
  • Right of Request: You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a readable and clear format.
  • Right of Correction: You have the right to request the correction of your personal data.
  • Right of Destruction: You have the right to request the Destruction of your personal data.


Unless otherwise stipulated by the law, you will not be required to pay any fees in return for exercising this right. You will receive a response within 30 from receipt of the request.

Complaint and Appeal

If you have any concerns, or should you feel we have failed to comply with our obligations, you can file a complaint to the NEOM Personal Data Protection Office:data.privacy@neom.com

If you are not satisfied with how we process your data protection complaint, or if we fail to respond within 30 days, you can file a complaint to the Competent Authority, namely, the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA):
